 Developing Talent for Lifetime Achievement Minimize

At Talent Development, we make learning enjoyable. We identify and build on the strengths of each child with appropriate level of challenge. We build a firm foundation of knowledge, skills and confidence.

As a result of consistent work, our students make rapid progress and

  • develop an interest in learning
  • become more confident
  • get better grades in school
  • produce outstanding results in standardized tests

During the academic year, we offer regular lessons in mathematics and language arts. We also help students prepare for standardized tests.

ACCELERATED LEARNING

…is for students who are ready to work significantly above their grade level. Students can learn to the full extent of their ability, without any constraints of age or grade. They measure their progress against national norms provided by the Talent Search Program at the Center for Talented Youth (CTY), Johns Hopkins University.

Rapid learning can be a lot of fun. It builds the student’s self-confidence and opens up learning opportunities from Gifted and Talented programs.  We train students to become independent learners.

CURRICULUM+

…helps students improve their performance at school and in standardized tests with:

Ø  small group instruction covering concepts in the national/state curriculum;

Ø  class work and homework to reinforce understanding;

Ø  tests and quizzes to assess progress, and to identify learning needs;

Ø  assistance with preparation for the NJ ASK tests.

Mathematics

…focuses on primary and middle school curriculum content at and above the student’s grade level.

Language arts

…helps primary school students develop skills in the following areas:

Ø  Vocabulary and Reading

Ø  Grammar and Writing

STRUCTURED COURSES

…facilitate understanding and mastery of mathematics, from pre-algebra to pre-calculus.

They provide a solid foundation for further learning with well-tested and effective course plans, problem sets, assignments, tests, and mid-course and final exams.

They help students:

Ø  prepare for standardized tests such as the SSAT, ACT, and SAT;

Ø  take more demanding courses at school;

Ø  skip school courses with credit courses from providers such as the  CTY (Johns Hopkins) and the Education Program for Gifted Youth (Stanford).
